PSALM 23 DEVOTIONAL
Share
Psalm 23 is one of the most famous psalms in the bible, it tells us about the care God goes to, to have us close to him. To me the first 4 verses are talking about the chaos of the world and the peace that God offers us. All we have to do is accept it follow him and have faith that he will keep his promise.
How do we know that he will keep his promise?
- God promised Abraham that his descendants would outnumber the stars and all the grains of sand on the earth, He promised that he would never flood the earth again and gave us the rainbow as a seal to that promise. (Genisis 12: 1-3)
Will the walk with God be easy and carefree?
- Not in human terms of carefree. We think of carefree as having no anxiety because everything is taken care of like having a lot of money or no rules in life. But being carefree with God is being able to go through difficult things in our lives and still have faith and peace with Him. This is what David is talking about in this whole psalm. How he is always with us no matter what we are going through.
